This was the first Hartnell story I ever watched and remains a personal favorite. I liked how it had an overall story arc, but maintained individual episodes and adventures. The Voords were very cool-looking, too. I always recommend this one to folks.

This is one story that thrills (Voords and oceans of acid!) and all the different locales make it easier on the ADD to watch. Wink

An epic.....how they ever managed to pull this off with the budget it had, a different set and cast almost every week! Fantastic!

Brilliant story! This is a very creative one; I love the fact that the setting changes every episode, allowing us to see a new aspect of Marinus each time. I think some of these earlier stories can be guilty of being quite long and unegaging after the first few episodes, but the plot was always moving at the perfect pace, bringing new adventure all the time. Despite the length of six episodes, this story really does fly by; it didn't drag at all. In fact, at the end, I was expecting more; I was enjoying it! This story would probably be a great way to introduce someone, or even yourself, to William Hartnell's era of Who. This is Doctor Who at its best. No criticisms from me! 5 out of 5. Very Happy
