| Moffat has said Amy and Rory WILL be back next series, but it will definitely be their last appearances. And yes, we will meet at least one new companion. |

| I thought they had already left? I'll miss Rory, not so bothered about Amy but unfortunately you can't have one without the other. |

Same here. Wouldn't mind if they killed off Amy and kept Rory. That'd be... heartbreaking. |

Again? I thought they were pretty much gone after this last season and would pop up occasionally. Perhaps this means that River Song won't be far behind either? |

| They will leave sometime before the end of the series, and a new companion will be introduced somewhere during the series..... so I'm wondering if maybe the Ponds will be there in the first few episodes and we will meet a new companion(s) afterwards. |

You're right about the 'Again?".....yet another dramatic ending for them is just tiring. I wish they'd have an ending like the one they got at the end of series 6...nothing too minor, nothing too major. As for popping up occasionally, I wouldn't want that. I say give them a real send-off and then that's it. |

| Rory will live!!!! Amy will die- just a prediction. Gillian mentioned she would like Amy to exit in death- so maybe this could be true.... or Rory will die again...or they both live and see the doctor on a beach...say their goodbyes, and he dissapears...oh wait that was done before.... |

Yeah, that's where they went wrong with Rose. I loved Rose, she was my first companion, but she was really ruined after her reappearance in series 4... There was no need to open up an old wound again. I remember crying first time I saw Doomsday... But at the end of 'Journey's End' I didn't really care much anymore. That really annoyed me. :/

| I loved harry!!!! Harry and Rory in many ways are quite similar- they both really did not want to be with the doctor- that dynamic made for interesting storytelling. |

I was thinking that they might show up in a story or two like Martha did. I certainly wasn't expecting them to be around for another whole season that's for sure. I just remembered the story that revolved around the Silurians had the Ponds waving to themselves from the other side near the forest. Maybe that's where they will end up after meeting the Doctor one final time. |

| i'd like to see matt work with a younger child companion. that could be really cool if they did it right, or a teenager along the lines of ace, getting rid of all the silly love story kinda stuff and just being palls. |

| Lets hope for something nice and dramatic, like being killed off in episode two of the new series, looks like we never will get a Rory figure after all. |

| The Series 6 send-off was quite good and unexpected. Hopefully Moffat can come up with something equally good. Now that the Doctor has faked his death and is keeping a low profile there shouldn't be any big deaths for a while. Killing them off while the Doctor was learning he's made himself a target would have been fine. But now, not so much even if Karen has asked for it.
And about time companions start showing up and leaving mid-season. It would be fine if they didn't even announce the new companion and we were left guessing each week which Red Shirt would actually survive to be the new companion. "Oooh, she seems nice... Yikes! Eaten by a minotuar! Well this next one seems pleasant ... Oh no, the Krotons ate her brain!" |
