There were a few things I felt could be better explained, but I gave it above average anyway.

I really want to know what was behind the Doctor's door. I have a feeling we'll find out soon. The Valeyard, maybe?

This season has pointed out that the Doctor's name is "lost" more than once. Gee... I wonder what the unanswered question is...

Nope. The presence of the Cloister Bell Sound Effect makes me believe it was the TARDIS about to explode. Remember, the whole point of the rooms was to expose a person's greatest fear in order to make them fall back on Faith.

Yeah, the Cloister Bell didn't slip by me, but what was it the Doctor said? "I should have known it was you," or something like that.

Quite an interesting monster we had this week.

Rory has faith in nothing? ... Seriously? Oh, Lord Toby, are you saying spending 2,000 years as a plastic centurion ruins you?

Of course you could say, "Rory didn't fear anything in the hotel. The hotel feared Rory."

The Amy/Rory farewell scene felt hollow since we KNOW they'll be back.

But is he afraid of River?

My son and I were talking about while walking the dog and have come with a theory...

Say the Doctor has reason to believe that if he regenerates again, he will become the Valeyard... so evil the Master is afraid of him.

The Doctor then works out a plan to prevent this. He's behind the whole plot to kill him. It's his organization that brainwashes River to double-shoot him, preventing regeneration.

Then again, maybe it's Omega.

Mr Of Mo, could you not just let me live in a happy Ginger Whinger-less world for a little while?

Sadly she & her comedy (less) sidekick will be back to destroy my TV speakers with her "dulcet" tones in the near future!

Why did you do it Jared?....WHY??

Man I'm SO surprised no one has thought of the absolutely OBVIOUS answer as to what was in The Doctor's Room....

JOHN NATHAN TURNER!!

But anyway, ALMOST up there with The Doctor's Wife for me, just absolutely loved this episode! Some will call it homage and some will call it rip-off but either way this episode was dang near one Jack Nicholson away from being The Doctor in The Shining, just totally weird and wonderful and scary. For me though, that's a GOOD thing, just loved the whole atmosphere in this one.

Maybe someone made mention of this also but this episode had some of the best music I've heard in this series in a while, just really stood out to me and was very unorthodox for what I've become used to.

And I agree, while the "farewell" at the end was indeed a tear-jerker, it did lose a bit of it's impact given that we know Karen Gillian has already signed on for Series 7. You know, they should keep press releases like that under wraps for the sake of preserving some surprises. Would've been kinda cool to be really left wondering if she was coming back or not.

Finally, anyone else feel that these last few eps of Series 6 are echoing the final eps of the Tennant era? Knowing he's going to die, being left companion-less in the Tardis at the end.

On an OT note: @ 2nd Doctor Roberts...LOVE the old school Detroit Tigers avatar! I think this is the year! GO TIGERS!

Ok...back to Doctor Who talk...lol.

Great story!

Wonderful that Amy has been dropped off finally shame he did not hover the TARDIS 600ft above London and kick her out hahaha! She will be back, oh well never mind!

I though the story had a nice classic feel to it. Did anyone notice the similarity between the God Complex and Curse of Fenric? Just my view IE the 7th Dr. had to make Ace loose faith in him so the ancient haemovore could kill Fenric just like the 11th Dr. had to make Amy loose faith in him so the beast had nothing to feed on and would die.

The 11th Dr. was scared of himself (I believe) IE when he goes into room eleven he has his reflection in the number plate, He was looking at himself scared of himself.

Which would follow on quite nicely from the Dream Lord last series. The only one in the universe that hates the Doctor that much is himself. Now he fears getting his companions killed again and feels he's being rather nughty and selfish letting them tag along on adventures. Makes you think the Doctor has a few issues.

This was on OK episode in my opinion. It was scripted around the departure of Amy and Rory, so the plot didn't make much sense to me. Sure, I liked the creepy hotel, but the weeping angels weren't real, the creepy clown didn't do anything, and Amy's fear was herself?

I know all of these things have explanations, what I'm really saying is, it didn't really scare me as it should have. This is like the episode of the X-Files that they wrote around a man who eats people who have cancer, because in that episode we find out Scully has cancer.

I rather liked Night Terrors and even The Girl Who Waited more than this one.
