| I watched Death to the Daleks last week after a long lay off from it and it lookeds great on DVD. I found teh studio footage that they have on the DVD quite enjoyable as well.
A pity they did not have Elizabeth Sladen available for what ever reason she chose not to participate as the extras would have been so much better with her than with out her. . . . |

| Just finished watching the extras from Death to the Daleks. The studio footage is amazing. I wish they could include it for every release. |

| Tonight I am finaly getting around to the R2 version of Planet of the Spiders after I finish work tonight.
Yes it would be great if they saved more studio footage from the series but I think besides Claws of Axos the only other Pertwee era that survived was The Time Monster and they wiped that in 1985.
We were lucky to have behind the scens footage from The Daemons and The Sea Devils as extras though. Still would ahve loved to see more from the other storys. |

| What I want to see again from The Daemons was the Return to Devils End special that was done as a reunion for the cast and crew. I had it on a VHS that has long since disappeared. |

| I never actually got that one when it was made back in the 1990's, its a great pity that they could not include it on the DVD release but I can understand the owners wanting to sell it on there own. I am surprised that I have not seen it offered on DVD considering that the story has now been released on DVD |

| 'Claws Of Axos' is rumoured for October, this Year. I do love this story but unless they put more extras and really upgrade the pic quality for the NTSC eps i might just leave this one. I liked the sound on '3 Docs' on Revisitations but honestly think the pic quality is not that much different from the original release. |

| Over 2 hrs of extras will be included on 'Axos'. The studio footage will be linked into the NTSC eps, probably new unseen footage will be included in the extras. |

| Looking forward to the re-release of Axos in a few weeks. Should look better than ever! Plus lots more of the studio footage!
From the Restoration Team's website:
Disc 1
• 4 x 25 mins approx colour episodes with mono audio.
• Commentary with actors Katy Manning and Richard Franklin, producer Barry Letts.
• Deleted and Extended Scenes (dur. 26’ 58) – the original edited-but-annotated version of the studio recording which is included on this new release in its entirety. Option to view with text commentary.
Disc 2
• Axon Stations! (dur. 26’ 39”) – cast and crew look back at the making of the story. With actors Katy Manning, Paul Grist, Bernard Holley and Derek Ware, director Michael Ferguson, co-writer Bob Baker, script editor Terrance Dicks.
• Now & Then (dur. 6’ 35”) – A look at the locations used in ‘The Claws of Axos’, contrasting how they appeared in 1971 with how they are now. Narrated by Katy Manning.
• Directing Who (dur. 14’ 44”) – director Michael Ferguson recalls his work on ‘The Claws of Axos’.
• Studio Recording (dur. 72’ 50” ) – the entirety of the earliest surviving Doctor Who studio recording, presented “as is”, complete with studio chatter, recording breaks and VT run-ups.
• Living with Levene (dur. 35’ 09”) – comedian Toby Hadoke spends a weekend in the company of the enigmatic John Levene, the actor who brought the character of Sgt Benton to life and the man who might have been James Bond. Can Toby break through the bluster and eccentricity to discover the real John Levene? Join him for an unforgettable weekend in John’s hometown of Salisbury, meeting John’s friends, family and the odd bemused passer-by, all polished-off with a round of golf…

| I'm so looking forward to this! The extras are so fantasic!( Those very interesting unused studio recording bits ) John Levene is so cool and i met him last year! A new 'making of' documentary! The first take off of the Tardis since 'Spearhead' and new console and console room! The Master's Tardis in it's original time capsule look,( hint, hint C/O )! This will be just as good as 'Ambassadors', it sure compensates waiting for the next figure release. |

| With the release of the Special Edition of Axos, I suppose the "Pertwee Bonanza" from the last two years is pretty much over. We only have Mind of Evil and the SE of Inferno known to be released in 2013.... |
