PostSubject: Torchwood....   Fri Jan 14, 2011 7:36 am

I just started watching Torchwood from the beginning. I am only 4 or 5 episodes into it. I am hoping somewhere down the line that the Doctor and or a companion will guest star to help them out every now and again.... Question

It's not really a spoiler so I'll tell you... The Doctor never appears in Torchwood.

RTD said right from the beginning he never would. Torchwood is aimed at adults and The Doctor is a character from a children's show.

That doesn't mean other elements from the show don't make it on... Wink

So, started recording and watching the "reruns" on BBCA...

Torchwood 1 was Canary Wharf... destroyed in the battle between the Daleks and Cybermen. Presumably, this is the end of Torchwood as a coherent organization.

Torchwood 3 is Cardiff. From the show we know what becomes of it.

Torchwood 2... Jack implies that it's one guy in Glasgow. Maybe he was joking about the one guy bit, just being funny. But even if he wasn't, where is that guy now?

Torchwood 4 is even stranger. Where was it supposed to be? What happened to it? Jack implies some mystery here. Perhaps, in the way alien crap was appearing in Cardiff, the opposite happened there. Where is Torchwood 4?

Babylon 4 disappeared 24 hours after going online...

Coincidence? Razz

The other Torchwoods was a dangler I was hoping they'd revisit. Alas!

There was a lot they could follow up with... and stuff I wanted to see.

Keep bringing back Suzie!

What happened with Diane and Emma from 1953?

More Bilis and Captain John Hart

Episodes showcasing the TW of the past eras

And of course my big complaint...

What the heck happened after the events of Children of Earth!?!

I hope if we don't get any more TW on tv, that Big Finish will try and run with audios.

An episode about the one guy in Glasgow would be awesome. He'd have to be a badass nutter. I recommend Billy Connolly or Craig Fergusson for the role.
I'd like to see Martha Jones become a full-time cast member. She seems to have become much harder in-between appearances. She'd be a nice contrast to Gwen.

Shouldn't Scotland have a more major part than one guy? I mean, Torchwood House was in Scotland!

Torchwoods Canary Wharf & Cardiff had a vast array of incompetent employees with life expectancies of Spinal Tap drummers. I guess they opted for quality over quantity in Glaswegia.
