I'm inclined to agree. Didn't mind them at first but I feel they're being forced down our throat now... Maybe if they were used less then I wouldn't mind. I do like that it's giving the 12th his own identity and quirkiness. Just use them less... I mean Tom Baker didn't grab the Jelly Babies out every other scene! Ah well.

I could stand them if they were used as an enhancement to the screwdriver for visual scanning but not as a replacement.
Like say he puts them on and sees Zygons with them, kinda like They Live.

Another disappointing episode.

What was with the Lion King?!?!? Was that something from one of the kiddie spin off shows?!?

And how did his people kill him? Just 'wow bang, yer gone'! Weak! And the bit about the nano tech thingie only having enough energy to bring him back to life but not immortal...cuz that's how machines work.

They should have brought this episode in later in the season and made it more of a surprise. And oh, I don't know, a little bit of plot would have been nice...

I'm getting really tired of telling myself it'll get better...

I think the Doctor did admit that he was making that bit up and wasn't totally sure if he was immortal or not. Right after he fumbles through it he admits it's probably a lie.

Otherwise you're quite right about this being a weak episode. We can imagine that the Doctor messing with you could ruin your life. But they didn't have the decency to put the kid down. Instead we'll be stuck with the spectre of this little snot popping up again.

Child actors (or adults cursed with looking like they're 14) never turn out well in Doctor Who. At least the kid isn't going to be Clara's replacement.

Yaaaaaaawn. What happened to the Doctor who travels Time through out THE FRIKKIN UNIVERSE!!????
Instead we get a Beauty and the Beast reject on 1600s Earth.

Always Earth(oh ya he went to Skaro once and saw their sewers)

The show has become a decayed Dalek,no substance at all.

She's the new Captain Jack until the Doctor finally lets her die.

Again the only good was the last 2 minutes in the Tardis and the foreboding scene with Clara's impending death. Very Happy

It wasn't the best but I enjoyed it! I liked seeing the Doctor vulnerable and open in this episode. The ending scene in the TARDIS with Clara was quite bittersweet.

Good episode, I thought! Can't wait for Zygons next week! Very Happy

I thought is was good and enjoyable. I just wish it had not just been the week after the character was introduced, and made her return a bit more of a surprise.

Yeah, could have spaced it out a bit. Maybe make this the ep just before the finale. I enjoyed it tho. The villain reminded me of King Lionheart from the 80s TMNT action figure line. Much more character driven. Throwaway alien menace like last week. Still, some very interesting ideas here.

I watched it again, and I thought that Lady Me could very easily have been the Doctor, if he never had human companions to "humanize" him through out his immortality. Seeing and surviving the deaths of family, children, everyone you ever knew, for centuries, could make you very bitter.

I enjoyed this part much more than the first. I thought Lady Me was kind of a silly name but I get why they did it, I think.
