| I hated Blake's 7 when it first started running on PBS, and as a result I missed most of the first series. The reasons for my hate were simple -- it replaced Doctor Who.
A month or so earlier, I had pledged money to PBS in order to keep Doctor Who on the air. They were near the end of the Pertwee Era, and they went into their, "If you don't pay, we can't keep playing it," tirade. So I paid... and they promptly dropped Doctor Who after Planet of the Spiders and replaced it with Blake's 7. Obviously, I was well irritated.
About a month later, I decided to actually watch Blake's 7 (with Red Dwarf playing as a lead-in) and, much to my surprise, I actually quite liked it.
The finale of the show blew me away. I really wasn't expecting it to end the way it did, and ever since then, I always say that my favorite shows should "pull a Blake's 7 in the end." |

| I'm a huge Blake's 7 fan with quite a few original props from the show.
Being in the UK during original transmission there was no question of it replacing Who (I'm sure that would have irritated me) but it was just a wonderful addition.
I mean, come one, who can't love the Liberator? Grin.

| | Speaking of DVD sets, has anyone heard anything on the part of BBC Worldwide as to why they haven't released he series in region 1? I've been waiting for years for them to do so. |

| I love Blake's Seven almost as much as I love Doctor Who. At Visions '95-Visions '98, I was lucky enough to meet Gareth Thomas, Paul Darrow, Michael Keating, Sally Knyvette, Stephen Greif, and must again mention Brian Blessed. Gareth Thomas was recently in an episode of "Torchwood" as well. |

| When I lived in Iowa for a while on Iptv we had a sci-fi sat. night. They would show Red Dwarf, Doctor Who and then Blakes 7. Couldn't get a better line up!! |

| Blake's 7 was one of THE best written adult science fiction shows ever. Depsite the fact that it had the look of primitive Doctor Who about it SPFX-wise, the shows were NOT for the kiddies.
Very, very good stuff, and a show that would benefit from the kind of computer replacement effects we've gotten on some DW dvds (like Ark in Space) and which the original Star Trek is now enjoying.
I'd love to know if it will ever be out on DVD! |

I bought one of the old model kits from somebody in the UK through ebay. Because of the exchange rate it ended up costing around $100.00. I am quite satisfied, but the one that WHONA has is much larger and looks like it has better detail (Not to mention the rear engine assembly looks great and can be lit up if you are into modifying models) |

| Blake's 7 was a great show. I'd love to see it released on DVD in the U.S.
I particularly liked the second year as the tension between Blake and Avon approaches critical mass and the cliffhanger ending to "Star One" was well done.
A good show and definetly worth a look for anyone interested. |

| I love Blakes7. Here in the NY area we were like a sci-fi paradise as there were 2 channels that aired Doctor Who and B7 re-runs in the 1980's.
I am waiting to hear when Region 1 DVD's will be available. I taped many episodes on VHS and have been transferring them to recordable DVD media for space issues but it's not the same as having the offical versions with bonus materials. I only have most of the first 2 seasons. I really want to catch up on Season 3 & 4. |

| Coming to R1, eh?
I never saw enough of the show to get a real hang of it. Enough people who like other British scifi that I like (Who, Red Dwarf...) have liked it, though. I may add the DVD set to my list... _________________ Words... words... words! |

| Hi, just thought I would let you know that Jacqueline Pearce will be signing photographs at Voga on the 10th March from 3-5pm. She is doing this to raise funds to help her to continue her work with endangered monkeys in South Africa.
I would be grateful for any publicity you could give this event on your website.
This may be Jacqueline's last signing as she will be returning to Africa a week after the event and intends to live there indefinitely.
Fans will be able to email in their names and have a signed photo sent out to them.
For more information please visit our blog www.voga.wordpress.com
Many thanks

| I saw at the NY Mid-Manhattan library a couple VHS copies of Blake's 7 and I borrowed the first volume. The build-up to getting to the ship was fantastic and I can't wait to watch the third episode and on to see what they'll do with it.
From massacring the outsiders, killing the lawyer and his wife, and the ship's officers executing the prisoners, it really set a dark tone in this world which is far different than the others of the time. _________________ "Oil an emergency?! | Score! One of the best deals I ever received! Sixteen dollars for twenty Blake's 7 videos. The funny thing is, the remaining six videos I need to complete the collection will cost more than this.
I can't wait to watch the entire series. _________________ "Oil an emergency?! It's about time the leaders of this planet of yours realised that to remain dependent upon a mineral slime simply doesn't make sense." —The Doctor "Terror Of The Zygons" (1975) |
