New Plastic Love it or Hate it?

Looking at my Doctor in Suit and the Master, my personal opinion is they look like Autons from Spearhead in Space.

The likenesses are great but the shiny face is really bad in my opinion.

What does everyone else think?

I would do a poll but I dont see that option so just share your opinions.

I only have the master so far so no real point of comparison. I think he looks a little sickly. I think they need to use less glossy paint for the features lips,eyes, etc and it might be better.
I really don't need lifelike palour and think CO's money/time would be better spent on the molds(which overall have been top notch) and armature(new swivels for poseability.

This is the best I can do for anyone interested in seeing what the faces look like. I would like to thank the person that gave me the advice for loading the pictures, I do appreciate it.

I am NOT wasting another second trying to figure it out. Noone waste your time trying to explain it to me, I am a photographer not a geek squad member.

Suffice to say, up close this plastic looks like crap in my opinion, and if the rest of the human figures are going to be made from this waxy plastic I am not going to order them, if CO/UT ever read this board, take my vote down as a lost sale.

The only one I have so far is the Master in the black suit. Sure, close up he looks horrid, but displayed, he's more or less fine. I still prefer the other plastic though if I had to choose.

I have the Master in black suit and Yana. Both has a somewhat "greasy" look if you get too close, but Yana looks much more natural. The new plastic is actually pretty realistic with the right paint job and texture to the mold. I don't think I'll mind it once they get the kinks worked out.

The new plastic looks like the same sharp-edged translucent albino plastic Hasbro uses on their marvel figures. Yana should have a more ruddy pink complexion. I'm repainting mine to blend in with earlier releases.

I got the master and the 42 doctor. I prefer the old plastic hands down. The new plastic looks waxy and looks so much cheaper. With flesh tones...opaque paint/plastic really embellishes the subtile features of the face sculpt. The new plastic has too much of a shine...the figures look sweaty and have almost a 2d feel to them. Of the 2 the 42 Doc's paint ops are done with great detail. Like the dirty suit look. The face does not bother me so much because I have him donning his helmet. Go back to the old plastic or find a different material...cut costs elsewhere in the line...slim down the choices to up the quality.

That's good news, although I already repainted mine. Hopefully they won't stick whoNa with more Laslos when restocks with better plastic comes in. I wish more companies would respond to fan complaints like this.
