| Earlier tonight, I went to the supermarket to pick up powder sweetened ice tea and there were the generic brand and Lipton. There were two other brands but I forgot what they were. I decided to pick up both and see what was the difference. Looking at the ingredients, they're not really different from each except that Lipton has silicon dioxide and the generic has calcium silicate.
In the end, Lipton won my taste buds as the generic brand tasted less sweet and more watery than Lipton. I paid $4 for the generic and $6.60 for the Lipton. Clearly the price reflected the quality this time around. _________________ Smoke me a kipper, skipper. I'll be back for breakfast. -Ace Rimmer

Seriously, the sugar content is much less than what I would get from a can of soda which is always a big plus for someone trying to lose weight while still drinking something sweet. _________________ Smoke me a kipper, skipper. I'll be back for breakfast. -Ace Rimmer

| | I'M In buffalo and soak teabags to make cold tea. I add no sugar until I drink. I hear you ,I've been trying to lose weight and used to put 6 teaspoons of sugar per hot tea <which i drank all day> about a month ago I bought sugar subsitute packets. So one of those packets is equal to bein as sweet as 2 regular packets.I use two subsitutes and 1 regular packet to wean me off sugar!Took 3 days dont notice taste difference and lost 3 lbs!But now I crave chocolate!I'm in withdrawal still! |
