This is, in essence, merely a time waster or filler depending on your view at the moment you read this. The thought is to ponder those little statements we all just accept without thought at the time. Case in point...

Free time. You never have enough to "spend" doing what you want. And even more strange is the realization that usually when you spend that "free time" doing what you wanted, it usually costs more than it should have. Example...writing on a message board for fun and realizing you've just lost ten minutes to get ready for work or an evening out.

Deep.

How's this for misleading:

I'm lost. If I should get back before I return, please ask me to wait.

Anyone reaching an age considered "over the hill". This is accompanied with the statement "it's all downhill from here". How is "all down hill" bad? It seems like that would be the best part of "over the hill". No more up hill struggle, finally getting to coast along.

Personally I'm hoping it's not over but rather a simple turn around so on the way down hill you can enjoy watching others trying to do the same dumb things you did trying to get up the hill. This way when you try to warn them not to do what you did, you can have the realization that maybe the person who gave you the same warning did know something after all.

Yeah but when I think of that analogy I think of the simple cartoon drawing think like"pink panther". Problems with downhill; might include picking up too much speed as you reach the bottom. And what does lie at the bottom, the cartoons are usually loaded with climactic a crash or somesuch. If not; then the boulder/self is left to sit at the bottom of the hill. Doing nothing. there's a kinda finality to it.

That's actually pretty much right on, at least that's true for my life. Seems like Thursday follows Monday most weeks.

That last part definitely makes it sound like down hill is where we all end. I guess make the most of it however you view it.
Also it's good to see you can always count on the panther for a nice moral like knowing when to apply the brakes in your life to keep everything from crashing.

Reminds me of George Carlins routine on Words, especially Oxymorons.

JUMBO shrimp

Putting someone "Under" for an operation, the docs are making the person unconscious not placing them beneath the operating table.

Other mislead could be from another comedian Steven wright-
"Sponges grow in the ocean. That kills me. I wonder how much deeper they'd be if that didn't happen?"
