over two feet in the last day! And now there are 10 more inches coming later in the week. This is the toughest winter in VA I've had in since i got here back in 1996! And no mail today. . .so no figures. . .

We are expecting between 4 and 8 inches from Monday night through Wednesday morning. Not as bad, but it is the largest amount we may get all winter. The bitter cold has been our bane.

We're expecting more on Monday night, possibly up to 8 inches. Nothing compared what's hitting the northeastern states right now, but it's bad enough: the runoff/melt-off from the last big snow has the ground saturated. My yard is a hopeless, muddy mess, and as my place is kinda the "last stop" on a trip into the sticks, people try to turn around in my driveway a LOT... and they slide down into the yard... almost to the house itself... and then get stuck and spin their wheels and chuck mud all over everything. The tow truck operators love my yard right now. Me, I'm a fair weather fan... and this ain't fair weather. Especially not when I have a feeling spring will flip on like a lightswitch and then we'll be straight into classic tornado alley nightmare material.

We got around 30 inches where I'm at in Maryland. God knows what's coming later in the week. Shoveling this stuff has not been fun to say the least.

So, make the best of it, take your new Ice Warriors outside and play! I will take my Sea Devils to the beach!

This started Sunday night at 11:30. To put it in perspective: the forecasts all said that we'd get rain until 6pm tomorrow, and then we might get 1-6 inches of snow.

2 inches have fallen since 11:30 Sunday night, never mind 6pm on Monday night. It made for excessively dangerous driving: I wound up keeping one set of tires on the rumble strips on the interstate so I'd have a guideline of some kind, because I couldn't see anything. When I got home about an hour after leaving work (normally a 25 minute drive), this is what my car looked like. Keep in mind that I had cleared the snow off the windshield and hood before setting out to drive home.



Again: all the snow from the previous two weeks had melted. This has all come down and stuck to everything since late last night.



One thing's for sure...I wouldn't want to be a TV weatherman in this area right now. The lynch mobs are probably forming as we speak.

This is one reason I moved to Florida! And I laugh at people here who say they want to see snow!

Hows about sending some of that snow to Canada, eh? We don't have any yet!

3ft of snow in my little area of Pittsburgh, spent all day Saturday cleaning out the driveway and sidewalk. Spent a sore Sunday (after I took the wife to work) on the sofa with a Doctor Who marathon on the old DVD player.

You're not supposed to get any snow in Vancouver! I lived there for 3 years and don't remember getting any snow (on the Lower Mainland at least) .Where I am, a little west of TO, we should have 4 feet of the stuff now. There's still a flock of geese sitting in the grass in front of my house!

I am sick of snow too! We got almost 29 inches here in Philly over the weekend, and now they are calling for up to 18 more inches tomorrow.

At least if that happens I will get te day off from work... but not from shovelling.

got my new classic series in yesterday. . .though the post is barely running. haven't gotten much in the forms of paper or mail for several days now. oh and it's starting to snow now too.

Wont get my classics until probably friday. Looking forward to putting them on the shelves! Our snow isnt so bad. The lazy bums in local govt decided to take the day off! Funny, I made it to school just fine!

yeah!!! 14 inches and I have a job interview...go figure- just my luck.
