| | I collect Star Wars in addition to collecting Doctor Who. I used to be more of a general SW collector, but last year limited my collecting to my favorite character only. My life has been much easier since then (and my wallet has been a bit fatter)! |

| I use to collect Star Wars, until they repacked every figure and then it just got to expensive. CO has got the same figure in differant packs but no were as bad as Hasbro. As for DW figures I stick with main story figures if the others are marked down I pick a few up. |

| Cherish- I think you hit it best. The best bet is to pick a favorite character then expand if you have the need or desire. I've collected comics and various toys. Spider-man and Batman were always my favorites like with SW toys it became cost prohibitive to keep up with Amazing, spectacular, web of,ultimate, tales of spider-man as well as Batman, detective, shadow of the,LOTDK let alone any other titles. SW we all know the problem there honestly how long can you remake the same characters over and over? How many inconsequential banal characters can you release until people give up? Apparently 30 plus years! Plus considering waves of new stuff will accompany the new clone wars movie/tv show. My key similar to yours is to get my favorite character first, then if able get the figs/toys/characters that are actually done well(for example I love the aliens in who noticably the Judoon figures were some of the best released they just came out really well), then if able go for the completist method and get whatever else(If I had the money I would be a completist). Other tips would be to stray away from vehicle a la SW they are just to big to sit around unless your really going to play with them. Also stray from deluxe figs(I do recommend boe and racnoss for who line) I had to have all the new MOTU figs and have some dopey stilt ninja skeltor, flaming back pack something or other this and that; they end up being gimmicky figures. welp that's my 2 cents. _________________ "I reject your reality and subsitute my own"- MYTHBUSTERS |
