Eventually I want to get some extras to repaint so they look like Daleks from various eras of Doctor Who. I noticed that underneath the base are a few screws. That got me thinking. If it can easily be taken apart it could make a good base for a custom Davros figure. The upper part (the mutant on up) would have to be replaced but the bottom could be made to work. I haven't tried to take the figure apart. I'll wait until I get a ... I did some custom Doctor figures lately. I turned an Accoutrments Oscar Wilde figure into the Eighth Doctor. I replaced Oscar's arms with those from a CO 10th Doctor w/long coat. I also did a Second Doctor custom. He's a real "Frankenstein", parts from several sources. Shout out to Iron Cow for the idea of using a Picard head for Troughton. Sorry I can't post ... I am working on figures in scale with the CO stuff and try to keep as much articulation as possible. Finding pieces in scale can be tough but see my post about Custom Fodder for suggestions. I use Taklon Synthetic paint brushes made by Loew-Cornell. They can be found at Michael's craft stores. They cost a bit more than other brushes but the results ... They are very close to scale with the C.O. stuff. I've used an Oscar Wilde figure as a base for a 1st Doctor custom and have plans to use them for some others. I can't post any pictures. Anyway, I was looking and the figures and realized they would make a good base for a custom Sylvester McCoy figure. I need to check through my spare parts containers but I may have a head and hands that will work.
