yes, but whatever happens that Titanic better not end up being blasted into space or aliens crash it into an iceburg! pale Oh man that would stink! but the man directing it has brought us some good episodes in the past so we can only hope!

Keep in mind that it is not The Titanic. Otherwise that life preserver would say RMS Titanic.

That's assuming that the props department didn't make a glaring oversight.

The advent calendar on the Doctor Who site is pretty fun. Why oh why can't the Scifi channel broadcast this episode on x-mas?

Because the BBC still has something of a Michael Grade mentality. Suspect

Yeah...love the 70's feel of the old disaster movies. Lots of funny one liners about an alien's concept of christmas. I have been on a few cruises before and totally enjoyed this..funny...retro...not much brain candy...just a simple romp.
Expected Gene Hackman to come in at any moment on the screen ala the posiedon adventure. Homage to Robots of Death.
Trailer did not give too much away...this was a great christmas gift. I have to be honest I enjoy Doctor Who mainly for the humour and this one delivered...full marks.

Just get you a TARDIS Green, you travel as much as the Doctor! I liked the appearances of Who Alums, Geoffrey Palmer and Clive Swift Bernard Cribbins, and since I couldnt read the cast list, I cant confirm the rumor that nabil Shabin was the little guy.

Moments I liked, the cork bit, Lines like - "Angels can fly" and "Bad name for a ship, or this suit is really unlucky"

Loved the look of the Titanic, of course when I saw it, I said to myself, I am definitely getting this when it comes out as a Micro-Verse ship! Of course it will be with an Astrid Peth figure.

This was the best present to get to end my Christmas. Would have commented after watching, but wanted to wait and watch it again first. Story was nicely paced and well written. Moments I loved..."I'm the Doctor, I'm a timelord..." The whole Bannakaffalatta thing, and the while maybe a little much, I loved the Angels when...I just realized these may be spoilers for some, so avert your eyes...when the Angels flew him to the bridge. Kind of think we'll be seeing Astrid (TARDIS) again at some point.

Side note for Hoosier...according to the Fact File, Jimmy Vee played Bannakaffalatta. He as also appeared as The Moxx of Balhoon in The End of World, the Space Pig in Aliens of London/Word War III and the Graske in the interactive episode Attack Of The Graske. He's also played the Graske and a baby Slitheen in episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Nothing more to say except Bannakaffalatta!

Thanks for the info. He would make a great companion. I hope if they do autographs in the new trading card set, he has one.

Be cool for a figure of him to come out also.

You'd think the writers' strike would motivate Sci-Fi to get the broadcast rights sooner.

Just finished watching it.
I was a little disappointed to see that the Doctor will gladly bring along any pretty set of eyes he runs across, but turns away Richard Bucket without a second thought (lying to him, as well).

Otherwise, I enjoyed it.

BTW... I merged the VotD threads - in case things seem jumbled.

The Doctor sure likes his blondes. Might be his Achilles Heel.
