Who is your favorite companion?

Do you dislike "Runaway Bride" or Donna? If you haven't seen any of series 4, you can relax a little - she's almost a different character (quickly becoming a favorite).

hey, just thought i would add this. i really liked frobisher from the comics. does anyone else but me think it would be a good idea to have him in an episode of the new series? imagine a talking cgi penguin. i always imagined his voice like a bad humphrey bogart impersonation, but maybe that was just me.

I do agree full with Jany regarding Mel (insert ear drum piercing screaming) as for Donna she has been toned down quite a bit...you'll see...

It is the character of Donna I disliked, the story - so-so. Good to know they have toned her down in Series 4.

I am trying very hard not to tune in to Sci-fi Channel on Fridays to catch the fourth season - want to see it all when the DVD set comes out - all in about 2 days of non-stop watching (can't stand the suspense of waiting week after week.... Very Happy

)

Now, the Frobisher character sounds interesting - a cgi penguin, huh? I wonder how that would translate into TV. Isn't he one of the characters in the Big Finish CDs as well?

i could be wrong, but i believe frob's first appearance was in the voyager series of comic books, later colleted into a graphic novel. he first met the sixth doctor, and i believe you are right, because i think he met the seventh and 8th doctors, if i'm not mistaken.

Frobisher is a shapeshifting alien who happens to like looking like a penguin with a mock brooklyn accent. I think he's only in one of the BF audios, "the Holy Terror" (which is pretty good old-school Who).

4th - SJS
10th - Martha

Martha managed to do what Rose never did. Let him realize that sometimes he has to remember that his actions affect others lives as well as his and that kind of opened his eyes to how he's addressing his companions now. Martha has really come in to her own since leaving the Tardis and she also....well, series 4 is where she really lets it all shine.

My favorite companion is Donna!

I also like Martha, Jack, Sarah, Tegan, Turlough, Leela, Romana, Ace and K-9.

There are a lot of companions I liked. For the new, it's Donna then Rose (sorry by Martha was ruined from the get go with her crush on the Doctor). With the classic, there are quite a few: Jamie (#2), Liz Shaw (#3), Sarah Jane, Romana II (#4), and Tegan and Nyssa (#5). Also, while not a true companion, the Brigadier.

Martha had her ups and downs. Some eps I really liked her and then they pushed the crush some more and I couldn't stand her.....definately a love/hate situation. SJS, liz shaw, nyssa.
