| | I saw a post on Raving Toy Maniac's forum saying that Who figures have been spotted at a TRU in Maryland in the US. Have any other people in the States seen these at Toys R Us? I'm going to head out today to take a look but I remain skeptical. |

| Unfortunately, there isn't a nearby TRU where I am. It seems that here in Massachusetts TRU hasn't been doing too hot financially. Many of their stores have closed as proof.
As far as DW merchandise is concerned, I have read on the DW Forum that it seems some TRU stores are getting it but they are behind. For example, they have the Doctor in blue suit with glasses. They're in that range and the prices are not that much cheaper than what WhoNA offers. Hope this helps. |

| | For me I'll have to stick with either Newbury Comics where I found my Weeping Angel yesterday or WhoNA. |

| I didn't have the ambition to get to Atlanta-Morrow today, nor has a friend seen any in Orlando. Maybe soon? Yet, I collect Star Wars, and the last few never made it past the Mississippi (as usual). Time will tell.... _________________ http://reverend-amagon-blog.tripod.com/doctorwho www.myspace.com/amagon http://groups.google.com/group/Guardians_of_Gallifrey |

| WhoNa and mikescomics.com are the 2 best places on the net to get figures problem with Newbury Comics is that the harder to get figures are more and also the price vary from store to store- Thay was 12.99 < Kingston i think it was>at one and $10.99 at the Avon. On the other hand i do like going into a store and actually buying a figure with out waiting for the mail too. all and all its good to have mor eopptions to get figures |

Yeah, but I NEED to get out of this town every once in a while. My friend will look in Orlando every weekend for me. He's found me Star Wars figures that I never found here (for once). He needs to call them TRU's (all 5). It's over $3 here too (and in Orlando).

| In Britain it is £1.02 a litre for petrol.
That is roughly £4.08 a gallon (I think, if I am wrong I will admit it)
So it is roughly $8.14 a gallon over here!
Of course I could have got this completely wrong..... |

| | Someone on LiveJournal mentioned finding them in the Philadelphia area TRU's. I'm close to the King of Prussia and Exton stores, but haven't had an opportunity to check either of them yet. |

| According to Toyfare Magazine, only a selected few have them! _________________ http://reverend-amagon-blog.tripod.com/doctorwho www.myspace.com/amagon http://groups.google.com/group/Guardians_of_Gallifrey |

| | I'd love to know how they determine which TRU gets figures and which doesn't. With SciFi and BBC America, it's not like you can just go by which PBS station plays Who. Maybe it just depends on whether the manager is a fan or not (that's how it seems to work at the comic shops I frequent). |

| | I think it's a "test market" toy. TRU has done this with other toy lines. They want to see if anyone will actually buy them before they stock up. They did the same with the recent Micronauts line by Palisades. |

| | I live in Maryland and the TRU in Golden Ring had Who figures. They had a 10th Doc in Blue Suit and Glasses and a Judoon Captain. They also had about 10 Sonic Screwdrivers. That was it. 3 pegs were devoted to Doctor Who and they only had two figures so they must be selling alright in Maryland. |

| Just got back from TRU in Livingston NJ (did ya hear that Iron Cow?! ), and saw the figures right next to Golden Compass figures.
Six pegs were devoted to DW. They had a ton of the Regen sets, some Judoon Troopers, Judoon Captains, Marthas and couple of Blue Suited Doctors. Grabbed one each of Martha and Doctor to help support the line (I figure I'll use them for customs). I may go back for a Trooper to build up the army.
Oh, they had the Sonic Screwdriver.
Don't get me wrong - I love WhoNA and will continue to buy from here, but it was really satisfying to see my fave toy line in a store I frequent. |

That's where I would think they would be over here, but no. I'm thinkin' of calling all the stores in the Orlando area to find out, as my source is... forgetful (maybe the one up in Atlanta-Morrow; but yet I have ANOTHER 4 days off from work. Need a new job for the figures).

| My curiosity got the best of me so I walked into the Times square flagship store in NYC, 3 blocks from where I work.
To my surprise they had an entire end-cap devoted to Dr Who, near the Star wars collectibles and Golden compass line (dreadful stuff!), about 16 pegs on entire end.
They had: Doctor w/glasses Martha Judoon captain Judoon trooper Damaged Dalek Thay
I bought a Doctor w/glasses figure because a) WhoNa is out of them, and b) I wanted to show support and hopefully help get more future orders in store & stamp Doctor Who onto mainstream America! |

| | This is off-topic, I know, but if anybody visiting a TRU or other store happens to see the new Battlestar Galactica figures, would you be kind enough to PM me your opinion? I was really looking forward to these, and the prototypes looked amazing, but the smallish images of the real things on sites like ebay look kind of meh. All the online toystores (like BBTS) are still showing the prototypes, so that's no use. There's no chance these will be released in Australia, so unfortunately I can't see them for myself before buying (or not). Thanks! |

| | I've ordered two Doctor w/glasses from TRU.com, one for me and one as a Christmas present. The first came packaged with a sonic screwdriver, which I thought was great, because I'm short on those thanks to CO's cutting corners. The second figure came with no sonic screwdriver, though, just like the British release. I thought that was weird. There's a variant! |

Well, wouldn't ya know... there is a variant indeed.
The Doc in Blue Suit my wife bought for me from TRU.com (as a surprise) didn't have a Sonic Screwdriver, but the one I bought from the store had one.
That's just... bizarre. |
