| Within 24 hours of receiving my Editor his leg, which had been loose out of the box, fell off. I just got my Angels (three of them). Two of them have loose hands and the third one lost her hand completely, though we were able to push it back into its socket.
Honestly, we haven't suddenly taken to pullings on the figures' limbs! We've been collecting for a while now and have never experienced these kinds of problems. I'm thinking that as CO's Options' prices go up their quality is going down.
Anyone else with problems?
I do want to add that I wrote to Keith about my angels, as I did when my Editor became one-legged. While he hasn't had a chance to respond to my latest note he was great about the Editor problem. This clearly is NOT WHONA's issue and the post is not a complaint about them at all. |

| | My screaming angels left hand slid out of socket, but I was able to push it back into place. None of mine have lost a leg though, but as I only display my figures I take care not to bend their joints to much as it preserves them better. |

| me two. i ordered two angels. both right hands are loose and can barely be moved without falling out. i think co has a big problem here. i have over 30 figures, and this new batch is the only one i've had that have this problem. _________________ WHAT? |

| My Screaming Angels are fine - and I even gave 'em a tug after reading this thread. However, my blue Scarecrow's right hand did break right off when I gave it a relatively gentle twist (couldn't remember if the hands rotated or if the "straw" was always in the way). If it had been most of the arm, I'd think it was a action feature. LOL! But it was fixed with a drop of superglue and since it isn't meant to move, it has zero impact on me.
I have collected Star Wars, Buffy and Angel, and now WHO fairly religiously, and I can honestly say that the WHO line has the best quality and least number of issues I have ever seen. In fact, I think this is the only problem I've ever had with a CO figure breaking (and it was my fault really). Then again, after the disaster that was the Cordy/Xander wave of DST's Buffy line (nearly every single figure broke by just thinking about moving a leg or arm!). I've had a couple STar Wars figures break (the one clone figure with the oddly positioned arm broke most recently).
Anyway, my Angels seem fine, so hopefully it's not a wholly bad wave, and I'm sure CO would replace it - I'd email them and maybe include a picture of it. The Angel arms are so dainty though that I'm surprised there haven't been more issues with them. And finally, if CO doesn't want you to return the broken one, you could probably easily sell it for a couple bucks for someone who just wants it for a diorama - heck, I might even buy it off of you depending on how much you'd want for it. ALways looking for parts for customs, and though the possibilities here are a bit limited, the arms might work for a Rose or Martha custom or more easily as the aforemention statue standing frozen in place around the TARDIS! :-) |

| well, i have a ton of figures too. everything ranging from star wars, to x-men, spider-man, batman, wrestling, to doctor who. character options are fine figures, and should be for 10-15 dollars a figure. most of my other figures didn't cost over 5 dollars at the most. for a 15 dollar figure, yes i will complain if the quality is bad. if they were making mini-statues, i would understand the inability to move the hands/arms. however, if you say you're figure has poseability, jeez, it should be poseable. i may sound like i'm ranting here, but after spending nearly a grand on doctor who merchandise from co, i think i'm entitled to be angry at quality issues, especially if i think it's only happened recently. i don't have one of the original screaming angels(from the weeping pack), so i don't know if the problem was on those too. _________________ WHAT? |

| I was getting slightly paranoid so while I'm sorry a few others have had problems I'm also glad to know it's not just me. It's also nice to know the problems don't seem to be too widespread. It was just surprising to get two different figures (Angels & Editor) with problems when all my others have been fine. For me the figures' charm is that they can be posed.
I did get 2 "weeping" angels before and they're perfectly fine. The arms & wings are obviously delicate but neither my son nor I have had any trouble moving her hands about, etc.
Ultimately we were able to slip the screaming angel's hand back in. While it continues to be loose it's not a complete disaster like my poor one-legged Editor (which WHONA replaced instantly by the way). Maybe I'll throw her in the fridge. |

| on the one had i'm glad not everyone is having this problem. however, if a bad batch got through this time, who's to say it won't happen when the classic series line comes out? or the new captain jack or martha? all i'm saying is, they are known for quality, and i think they slipped up on this shipment. i will hope that they take better care from now on, and don't just rush to make sales. _________________ WHAT? |

| | I have two of the Screaming Angels, and had no problems with them. (Well, unless you want to count forgetting that I'd put them on the shelf above my desk, and nearly scaring myself to death when I looked up there for the first time the next morning. But that's Steven Moffat's fault, really.) |

| I bought 2 screaming angels. One has hands that are very loose.
The other has hands that fit snuggly but has 2 left hands. |

| I just checked my Pig Slave and he's fine. This is good because I bought it out of the set from an independent seller.
All these CO quality issues seem to be coming out of the woodwork. I wonder why? |

| | The first problem I had was with the Empress, who has a leg that's fixed and in the wrong position, not quite allowing her to stand. I never bothered complaining, though I have no doubt WHONA would have replaced her for me. I just figured, well, no big deal. It was only after the second (editor) and third problem (angel that I had been waiting for forever) that I figured I'd ask other people. I think we all have probably just ignored the very occasional screw up but when it happens more and more we become more vocal. Wonder if anyone at CO will hear us. |

| good question. i think whona is a great shop, and no blame should be put on them. however, co needs to be quality, that is what they are known for. i think it's bad enough we have to put up with re-issues, bad plastic, scarce supply of good figures, no rose neutral figure, we shouldn't have to worry about the quality we are getting. _________________ WHAT? |
