| The new BF release, Exotron, isn't too bad. The main story is fine, if predictable. What is really working for these new releases is the single part stories that take the place of part four. The single part "Urban Myths" this time around is fun, though they could have played it up a bit more with the alternate versions of the callous Doctor and slinky Peri. Good ending for it, too.
Above all, the single part "Urgent Calls" that came with "I.D." gets my vote as best story and production in ages - in fact, "I.D" is good enough to keep me going with the BF range and have faith that better work will come. |

| On these 3/1 releases, as BF calls them, so far to me the short story has been better then the long story companion.
In all honesty though I wish if BF is going to to a three part 25 minute story that they would just release it on a single disc, instead of with the so called "bonus" story and the uninteresting extras they are now including and drop the price a bit.
As to short or single episode story, those I hope keep coming. Perhaps just put a bunch of short stories on disc(s) as the regular monthly release.
More stories of varied length would just seem like a change to me. |
