So what are readers thoughts here of BF now putting out the Companion Chronicles monthly?

They also plan to include stories for the Doctors which the actor is available.

The Companion Chronicles is a series I am not too fond of maybe because of the way they are performed. If they were played out more as a play (as the regular DW series) and less a one- or two-narrator dialogue, they may make them more interesting.
