| Dalek Empire 4 is rather good so far. While it takes place during the first DE series, there is no continuity or previous knowledge needed. Part one deals with various issues that include the draft, the reason for fighting at all, and the implacable enemy represented by the Daleks. Noel Clarke is terrific and it really looks to be a good series.
I wish Big Finish would make some free desktop wallpaper for their releases - there were a few, but now they're gone! I'd love to have some with the Dalek Empire theme. |

| | Anyone who was wondering whether or not to pick up the Dalek Empire 4 series should not worry - THEY'RE FANTASTIC! This is easily the strongest DE series, with no real continuity knowledge needed and plenty of action, twists, and turns. GOOD STUFF! |

| Another excellent series. I thought episode three the weakest. The character of Susan Mendez has worn out a bit for me. |

| Yes, I agree with you that Susan Mendes was cool, but has worn out a bit. Interestingly, she gets the crud beaten out of her by Ogrons in "Return of the Daleks."
But Noel Clarke really outdoes himself here, and this character-driven series has been a delight considering I thought the Daleks might have worn themselves out on audio. I hope Big Finish keeps up this kind of quality in their releases. |

| I found it a bit of a surprise that Nick felt he could not do DE 4 without the character of Susan.
It could really breath new life into the series without her. Clarke is excellent in his role. I think the DE series needs to always concentrate on the characters around the Daleks. Daleks can easily become one-dimensional, as they are usually. It is the struggle against them that is the story. |

| | I was surprised Nick brought back Suz yet again into the series. DE 4 was okay but I wasn't as fond of it as the other 3. |

DE 4 is not the best of the series. That honor is for series one with two following up. It has been a while since I last listened to them and I cannot recall the finer details of each. But many images come to mind from listening to them. |
