| If continuity matters to you, I'd read them all. I personally would hate to read part four of a seven book story arc. I would lose my mind saying "Who is this guy, and what is he talking about!?". Anyway, I am reading all of the 8th Doctor books in alternating order with the BBC PDAs in the order they came out in, just in case there is any link up between books. Yes, I have read a bunch of lame books, but what is an hour and a half out of my life for the sake of perfect continuity? Anyway, that's just me.

I would very much like to read them all, in order, for continuity's sake.... however, with limited $ to throw at it I was wondering what might be considered "essential" or "suggested reading".
I'd probably want to skip whatever was a side story and didnt have much relevance to the main story arcs. I know I'd probably be missing out on some really good stories though. |

| The I, Who books from Mad Norwegian Press are great- they have a chapter on each BBC book and Big Finish audio, with a review and brief story synopsis for each. It gives you an idea if a book/audio is worth the purchase, and if you decide to skip it you have a 3-4 paragraph break down for continuity's sake.
This of course coming from someone obsessive who must read them ALL! |

Ah, good tip... I'll have to check into those. I was wondering what the content of those books was.
